The mentoring children of prisoner (MCP) movement is going strong. Although
the US Department of Health and Human Services recently announced funding
will be available for MCP programs from 2006 through 2009, more agencies
are finding alternative financial resources for their projects. Whether
they received state funding or funding from other federal entities,
advocates of this growing movement are dedicated to serving their target
